On the eve of the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, an announcement was made that Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, and Jeep would be jointly using
the BLUETEC designation to describe their new diesel engines. Mercedes and Jeep are DaimlerChrysler {DCX} companies while Audi and VW belong to the Volkswagen Group.
The announcement was significant because it meant that a term that was reserved for DCX companies would also be picked up by Volkswagen and used to describe their engines even hough separate, but similar technology went into their respective development. The similarity of all

Bluetec engines are highly fuel efficient, clean, and they meet all current US emissions requirements which happen to be some of the toughest in the world.
Bluetec engines incorporate various nitrogen oxide reduction systems to reduce pollution.
Bluetec engines have improved torque and reduce fuel consumption by 20 to 40 percent over comparable gas powered models.
For Volkswagen, BLUETEC will appear across their model line at least in Europe where diesels make up nearly fifty percent of the market. In the US, where diesel demand has been lagging, the new BLUETEC diesels are expected to have a hand in raising diesel sales to an expected
15% of all new car sales by 2015.

No Volkswagen is not makig some big huge Formula One announcement. More like my search for the best value and deal has lead me to the Germans.
My search for the ultimate car involves the quest for Formula One handling and the budget of a low end, second hand karting unit. So the Audi and BMers went out the window pretty fast. Didn’t even visit the dealer lots.
So it was time to look at the germans. For information about the Volkswagen Passat the article on the Volkswagen forum helped me find out about the new 2007 wagon. While the car seems to fit the bill its
that price tag that is still killing my purchase plan. No matter what financing deal they throw my way it does not work out. I might as well have been looking for my Paris Dakar ready for action Touareg model. Its was working out to the same price but I was trying to get a lower
price just because the Touareg is so ugly. Plus you can barely pronounce the name.
It does not matter whats under the hood in all situations, sometimes you have to look at the outside when you’re buying a car and the Volkswagen Touareg really needs some more work in that department. But
than again I’m not some german Volks/Porsche car designer living the good life in the Black Forest. Yes I think its time to find an old Volks Fox wagen, that might fit in the budget.

The Hummer H3 is the smallest car in the Hummer family and it has attracted a lot of buyers that found the earlier Hummer models too larger and unconvinient. Hummer H3’s can today been seen in the inner city as well as in rural areas. The H3 was designed to be less of a military vehicle like the H1 and more of a sporty SUV for strictly civilian use. Some people dislike the H3 and simply find it “too normal” and less extreme, while others love it for exactly the same reasons. The Hummer H3 comes standard with a 220-horsepower, 3.5 liter, inline five-cylinder engine, the same engine as in the midsize pickups produced by General Motor. The weight of the Hummer 3 is almost 2.5 tons and this is much more than the weight of the GM pickups.
Four-wheel drive is naturally standard for the H3 and the ground clearance is an amazing 9.1 inches. When it comes to off-road capability the Hummer H3 received a lot of praise since it can out compete most of the other midsized SUV as soon as it’s time to leave the asphalt and enter some rough terrain. In crammed inner city areas, the H3 can however feel a bit too large to be convenient. Sure, it’s smaller than the H1 and H2, but that just like saying that an elephant is smaller than a blue whale and tyrannosaurus rex – it is still HUGE compared to other animals. The Hummer H3 gas mileage also leaves a lot to wish fore and you shouldn’t get this car unless you have a sizeable petrol budget.
